Another month, another box! It’s my first Pinup in a Pack box of the year. If you’re new around here, Pinup in a Pack is a subscription box service that sends you 3-4 retro accessories each month. I’ve been getting this box since last April, which I think might be my longest ever run of receiving a subscription box. See what I got this month & hear my thoughts after the jump!
I was excited to see some vibrant colors in my box this month! The puff ball earrings are TOO much fun, and I really don’t have a lot of yellow jewelry. I’m forseeing that these will make it into heavy rotation in my wardrobe, especially during spring and summer. The coordinating bangle is delightfully chunky. If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know that I wear a lot of green in the summer, so this bad boy is definitely going to come out and play when the weather gets warmer.
This was the first month that Pinup in a Pack posted a preview of the box on their Instagram before shipping it out – one of the highlighted items was an adorable pair of sunglasses, which I knew that I wouldn’t be getting since Pinup in a Pack is good enough to supply an alternate version of the box for four-eyes like myself. I was curious what would replace it…to be totally honest, I was a little bit disappointed with the replacement of a white hair flower. I would have liked to see something a little bit more colorful and funky to take the place of the very colorful sunglasses. I really do appreciate that Pinup in a Pack is willing to offer alternate options, and I know it must be hard to find a replacement item that fits into the same box/theme. To be fair, this was the first time I was aware of what I was missing out on when I received the box! I already have several white hair flowers, but it is a staple piece that has a place in pretty much any pinup gal’s wardrobe.
Overall, this was another fun, colorful box with a nice set of accessories that I can easily see pulled together into a single look. I realize that I’ve said that in a few posts, but I don’t think I’ve actually done that before – would you be interested in seeing me share an ensemble that includes all of the pieces from a single Pinup in a Pack box? Let me know in the comments!
